Course format:

Schiller provides interesting options for students interested in an international education and studying in Paris or other cosmopolitan cities. The flexible feature of our University's academic model is that it operates on a four-month semester system. Within 1 semester students complete 4 courses, the duration of each course being one month. Undergraduate students are required to complete 40 courses (120 credits) in order to obtain a Bachelor´s Degree.

Students enroll for 4 month sessions. During these sessions, students study 4 courses and obtain 12 credits. Students of high academic standing may be allowed to take additional classes, but most students complete12 credits every 4 months. Students decide whether to take a break or to enroll immediately for the next 4 month session. Each student decides how fast he/she wants to complete the degree.

So while students register and pay for the semester, this structure allows students to begin their course of study at Schiller at any given month during an academic year. Students don't need to delay their educational goals or wait for a traditional ‘September intake' to begin at Schiller. Since we operate on a monthly system, we have monthly intakes and there are no Deadlines for Admission.

Tuition fees are paid one week before registration and by semester depending on the number of courses taken during the term.

Students are also required to pay a cultural activities fee of 40 € per month.

For example, you can estimate

For an Undergraduate program, a semester (4 courses ) :

                        4 * 1,315 € + 4 *40 €  cultural activities = 5,420  for one semester (4 months).

Books and living expenses are not included.

At Schiller, you can earn a scholarship which can cover 15% of the tuition fees. It is on a course by course basis, up to 6 courses for graduate programs, 20 courses for undergraduate programs.

To apply for a scholarship, you need to just write a letter explaining why you feel you are eligible for the scholarship, provide whatever supporting documentation to justify it and send it with your Application File.

You also have the right to work in France during your studies. The law allows students to work 20 hours per week or 964 hours in a given year, which corresponds to 60% of full-time employment for the year.
