This First Cycle Degree Programme aims to produce first cycle graduates equipped with an adequate basic knowledge of mathematics, physics and chemistry that may be able to accurately and fully use chemistry language, acquire technological skills, manage resources and processes of transformation and enhancement of raw materials and their products on a sustainable basis, as well as understand the principles governing the materials' characteristics.

Curricula available:

  • Chemistry
  • Industrial Chemistry
  • Materials Science

You will learn the bases of the field and understand how to articulate the production of new materials and sustainability.

The programme will provide you with core competencies in mathematics and physics, and strong theoretical and experimental bases in chemistry. You will be able to build your study plan according to your interests.

Workshops will bring concepts to life and teach you how to proceed throughout the main experimental operations.

Once graduated you will have gained know-how in the fields of production, transformation, analysis and marketing of traditional and innovative materials with a sustainable sensitivity taking into account environmental protection and safety.

You will therefore be able to enter the industry, and in particular the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, biotechnology, energy and new materials' industries or to pursue your education with a Master's degree.

Qualifications/expertise after completing the program

Graduates in Sustainable Chemistry and Technology represent an ideal professional figure to profitably act as an interface with two cultures: sustainable production and development. Their knowledge may be successfully applied in producing, transforming and selling - both traditional and advanced - products and materials, thus contributing to developing a ‘green and sustainable' chemical industry. Graduates may register on the chemists' Italian roll (section B), once the relevant professional licensing examination has been passed.

Admission criteria:

Students must have attended school for at least 12 years.

Students coming from countries where admission test to university is compulsory, must also submit a certificate attesting that they have passed it (i.e. Concurso Vestibular, Gao Kao minimum score 380, Pruebas de Selectividad, Veveosi Prosvasis, ecc.).

The admission to this BA is subjected to an entry test.

The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Italian.

Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school/university. If yours is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
